K2025: Young tech companies take centrestage with AI/digital solutions

Technology start-ups that develop tailor-made solutions for challenges in the plastics and rubber industry will once again have the opportunity to present their solutions at K2025 in Düsseldorf from 8 to 15 October 2025. The centrepiece is the Start-up Zone, showcasing 20 exhibitors dedicated to a wide range of topics such as AI, data analysis, resource conservation, bioplastics, digitally supported production and the circular economy.

A special highlight is the Start-up Pitch, which will take place on 13 October 2025, with selected start-ups given the opportunity to present their business models and technologies.

Some of the companies exhibiting focus on AI, digital solutions like be2morrowEco2Grow GmbHHyppos A.I Software SolutionsiDOO GmbH and Simreka - Devtaar GmbH that offers AI-powered simulation and data for product innovation.

Emerging Motif offers technical and regulatory expertise for a circular economy, while Maintastic GmbH will promote maintenance of machines and robots for intelligent automation and R-Cycle - ProData GmbH, its turnkey software-as-a-service solution that enables companies to exchange and aggregate relevant data.

In terms of bio-resinsSpain’s Jade Chemical SL specialises in bismaleimide (BMI), while Kuori, a Swiss start-up, develops bio-based, biodegradable and recyclable elastic materials from olive pits and walnut shells. Eranova is a French company that transforms green algae into bio-based, recyclable resins and Noriware develops seaweed-based packaging materials.

Meanwhile, Replace has developed a technology, in collaboration with AISA, to enable the conversion of plastic waste from composite materials – previously considered non-recyclable – directly into 100% recycled and recyclable profiles such as panels, posts, rods and pallets.

Another firm taking a bio-stand is Paques Biomaterials with its natural PHAs: bio-based, biodegradable polymers made from renewable raw materials.

Dutch developer Saen Engineering supplies quality systems and Saflux delivers tailor-made PV and LED solutions.

Finally, another exhibitor Toolplace is a digital platform for purchasing, project management and supply chains in the plastics industry.
