Effective 1 October, K-Tron, a supplier of feeding, dosing, and pneumatic conveying equipment and systems, will operate under the brand name Coperion K-Tron. Coperion was acquired by US-based Hillenbrand in December 2012. K-Tron has been a part of Hillenbrand’s Process Equipment Group since 2010.
"Operating under the Coperion name is a decisive and indispensable component of our corporate strategy, which aims to further expand our position in the global market,” said Thomas Kehl, President of Coperion. “This brand strategy will allow our customers to comprehend our globally unique range of products more easily. It also enables us to more easily utilise the forces of globalisation to our own advantage."
The decision to integrate K-Tron into Coperion represents the next logical step in Coperion’s strategy, began in 2001 with the introduction of the name Coperion. This integrative name expresses the uniqueness of Coperion's position in the market, as Coperion is the only company worldwide to offer complete customised compounding systems and bulk materials handlings systems from a single supplier. Within its three fields of activity – Compounding Machines, Materials Handling & Extrusion Systems and Service – Coperion has 1,900 employees and nearly 30 sales and service companies worldwide.
Hillenbrand is a global diversified industrial company that makes and sells premium business-to-business products and services for a wide variety of industries.
