Sabo licenses PP technology from BASF
Italy-headquartered speciality chemicals firm Sabo has acquired the license for German chemicals firm BASF’s Chimassorb 2020 technology that combines exceptionally high UV and long-term thermal stability in applications such as polypropylene fibres and tapes. Demand for solutions based on Chimassorb 2020 has been steadily increasing, and the technology will grow as the product of choice for many applications. Terms were not disclosed.
Sabo says the acquisition of the license for Chimassorb 2020 will further expand its product range and complement the offer of high molecular weight monomeric light stabilisers already produced by Sabo in Bergamo, Italy.
