Austria-headquartered Borealis and UAE-based, Borouge, opened a dual-branded sales office in Casablanca, Morocco on 14 May 2015.
With the Moroccan office, the two firms-Borealis, a leading provider of chemicals and innovative plastic solutions; and Borouge, a joint venture company between Borealis and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) – will be able to meet the growing demand for polyolefins in the North African market, in particular in the area of Energy & Infrastructure.
Moreover, another important area of focus is steering selective growth in consumer goods-related applications in Advanced Packaging & Fibre. The new on-site presence in Morocco also enables the provision of better service to customers in the region and the close monitoring of trends and developments in other segments of the North African market such as engineering and automotive applications.

Explained that applying the joint Borealis-Borouge approach can develop the supply chain in accordance with market requirements, and ultimately create value for their customers. Hazeem Sultan Al Suwaidi, Senior Vice President Middle East Africa, Borouge, opined that the dual-branded sales office in Morocco can facilitate deeper understanding of the North African market potential.
