A Union Gap-sited plastic extrusion plant making aircraft parts, operated by the aerospace division of Pexco LLC, has been sold to Ohio-based TransDigm Group Inc, which develops, distributes and manufactures commercial and military aerospace components.
The plant, which manufactures parts for the interior of several Boeing aircraft, including the 737 and 787 models, has operated under a number of owners and names. Nevertheless, it has been under the Pexco name since 2009, shortly after private equity firm Saw Mill Capital acquired the company. In 2012, Saw Mill Capital sold Pexco to Odyssey Investment Partners.
Odyssey Investment Partners will retain the rest of Pexco’s plastic extrusion operations, including eight plants in the US and Mexico.
