Ireland-headquartered Holfeld Plastics has developed a ‘one size fits all’ auto de-nestable punnets to add to its standard crate fit G81 range.

According to Holfeld, the new punnet line provides the advantage of automation in packhouse for optimal filling of crates with empty punnets and improved usage of space and product flow.

The recycled PET packing system is manufactured using extrusion and thermoforming processes and currently marketed in Ireland, the UK and northern Europe, especially the Benelux countries.

The company’s new design aims to help the soft fruit packers maintain profitability at a time when unpredictable weather conditions affect their dig into their profits.
