India’s PlastIndia Foundation has resolved to move the country’s largest exhibition for the plastics industry, PlastIndia, to Gandhinagar in Gujarat, from New Delhi. A new exhibition centre is being built in Gujarat spanning 1 million sq m, with 23% more exhibition space than what is available at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. About 600 exhibitors from 40 countries are expected to participate in the 2015 event, to be staged from 5-10 February 2015.
The ninth Plastics Exhibition & Conference in the series, the show has been held in New Delhi but the Pragati Maidan exhibition centre is out of date and unable to handle the number of visitors, say officials at PlastIndia. Bipin Shah, President of PlastIndia Foundation said, "The PlastIndia 2015 is set to break all past records in terms of number of exhibitors as well as the visitors from various leading countries of the world. The requisite infrastructure, industry friendly environment and vibrancy make it conducive for such an event."
