Colines acquires compatriot Torninova

Gruppo Colines, a company based in Nibbia - San Pietro Mosezzo (Novara), active in the production of lines and machinery for plastics processing, has finalised an agreement aimed at the acquisition of Torninova in Bastia Umbra (Perugia) –dedicated to manufacturing, assembling and maintenance of equipment for producing plastics materials in general and, in particular, air-bubble film.

Terms were not disclosed.

Said Eraldo Peccetti, President/CEO of Colines, "This operation expresses a perfect combination and substantial synergy between the high technology of the machinery for air-bubble film - and not only - designed and sold by Colines since the early ‘70s and the large number of lines for the same application designed and sold by Torninova since the ‘90s all over the world.”

"As well as machinery for air bubble film Colines, which was established in 1973, also makes both blown and cast film equipment, for producing stretch and barrier film, extrusion coating, and making breathable film for baby diapers, sanitary napkins and the building industry. Colines also builds lines for making magnetic gaskets for refrigerators and freezers.

Besides air-bubble film machinery, Torninova, which was founded in 1969, makes extrusion lines for stretch film, flexographic printing equipment, converting machines and lines for masterbatch and compounding.
