JEC readies new expansions, "conquers" the world

JEC Group announce its new, three-point expansion phase: a significant extension of its Paris trade show, a reinforcement of its North American and Asian events, and development in the Southern hemisphere. Hence JEC Europe becomes JEC World.

On the occasion of JEC Europe 2015, the European composites organisation says that with the number of programmes, manufacturers and visitors constantly increasing, the largest global meeting for composites and its 58,000 sqm are no longer enough, thus, starting with the next session, the event will be called JEC World, and will be held in March 8-10, 2016 at the Paris Nord Villepinte fairgrounds on a 62,000-sqm exhibit space. The site is close to infrastructures like the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport and the Roissy TGV high-speed train station, giving our international visitors easy access to the event, all the better to network and share knowledge, according to Frédérique Mutel, JEC Group President & CEO.

In 2015, JEC Asia will celebrate its 8th session in Singapore, and the 4th session of JEC Americas in Houston is shaping up to be as vigorous and innovative as the American economy itself, she said.

Meanwhile, JEC is developing partnerships in the Southern hemisphere. The new session of Compocity will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, in partnership with the Latin American composites association, ALMACO. The construction of a city entirely from composite materials will highlight the contribution of these materials in all areas of daily life, as much in construction as in transportation, energy and leisure, among others. “With this highly innovative expo concept, we aim to contribute our ‘JEC Group know-how’ to help spread the word on composites and develop Latin American markets,” informs Mutel.

JEC is also working with government authorities and industrial leaders in South Africa to promote this dynamic country’s offering of composites internationally.

Furthermore, JEC created a programme dedicated to designers/creators calledComposites for better living by JEC. Due to their low-weight/high-strength characteristics and complex shape capability, composite materials are inspiring new generations of designers.
