Borealis, a leading provider of innovative solutions in the fields of polyolefins, base chemicals and fertilisers has acquired DEXPlastomers VOF in Geleen, the Netherlands, from DSM Nederland BV and ExxonMobil Benelux Holdings BV.
Prior to the acquisition, DEXPlastomers was a 50/50 joint venture owned by Royal DSM and ExxonMobil Chemical Company. Borealis has started the integration of the new site and its activities; transferring the 100 employees of the acquired company to Borealis Plastomers 1 BV (formerly DSM Plastomers BV) and other Borealis companies outside The Netherlands.
The Geleen plant will produce specialty products that are complementary to Borealis’s current innovative plastic solutions.
