Global functional additive manufacturer, Total Cray Valley has made a presentation, entitled, "New Processing Aid for Rigid PVC Profiles" at the Profiles 2015 conference held 9-10 June in Philadelphia, US. The presentation is delivered by Cray Valley's Global Business Development Manager, Anthony Marozsan, expounding on the benefits of using the company's new processing aid for formulating solutions for exterior building applications such as windows, doors, decks, floors and siding.
The new processing aid technology performs better than conventional acrylic aids by allowing lower temperature processing, higher throughput and better impact properties. Formulations using this technology have shown a 50%t improvement in thermal stability and a 10% increase in impact strength with ideal surface appearance.
