Westlake Chemical increases shares in Suzhou Huasu Plastics
Texas-headquartered manufacturer and supplier of petrochemicals, polymers and building products, Westlake Chemical Corporation, has acquired Ineos ChlorVinyls Holdings B.V.'s 35.7% interest in Suzhou Huasu Plastics Co Ltd (SHPC), a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin and downstream fabrication joint venture (jv) based near Shanghai, China. Westlake now owns a 95% interest in this jv.
SHPC operates a PVC resin production plant, along with specialty film and window profile operations.
