Dhunseri Poly Films orders BOPET film line; speed of 700 m/min
German machinery maker Brückner Maschinenbau says that Indian PET film maker Dhunseri Poly Films Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dhunseri Ventures, has ordered what it claims to be the world’s fastest and first of its kind BOPET film production line. The line, which will be fitted at Poly Films’s Panagarh site in West Bengal, is said to operate at a constant production speed of 700 m/minute,
“We want to be fully prepared for the anticipated growth in our industry. Following the successful start-up of our first BOPET line in 2023, we are excited to continue working closely with Brückner on this new project,“ said C.K. Dhanuka, Chairman of Dhunseri Ventures.
Johann Kreilinger, Head of Sales Middle East, Subcontinent & Africa at Brückner Maschinenbau said the new line will set new standards for efficiency and productivity with higher output with lower production costs, thereby positioning Dhunseri Poly Films as a pioneer in the industry.
He also added that this groundbreaking investment marks a technological milestone and sends a strong signal from both companies, reinforcing their commitment to innovation in the Indian BOPET market.
The first joint BOPET line at Dhunseri’s Panagarh site features Brückner’s technologies such as the multi-gap MDO for high-temperature stretching and the advanced “FOK 8.8” sliding chain track system, ensuring high-speed operation and significantly reduced maintenance costs.
Dhunseri Ventures Limited is a major player in the petchem business with plants in India and Egypt. Further, the company had entered into a 50:50 joint venture with Thailand-based Indorama Ventures Public Company for bottle grade PET business in India & Egypt.
Dhunseri Poly Films, a 100% subsidiary of Dhunseri Venture Limited was founded in 2020 for the implementation of the new project of manufacturing of biaxially oriented films.
