Chinese firm Shenda Enterprise Group and Australian flexible packaging group Amcor are to jointly build a US$120 million flexible packaging facility in Wuxi, Jiangsu, focusing on R&D and the sale of aluminium foil nylon composite materials, special bag making, printing and relevant flexible plastic films.
Shenda Enterprise Group, a leading enterprise in the Chinese packaging industry, owns advanced technology, good brands and solid strength, it said.
“The cooperation of Amcor Group and Shenda Enterprise Group to jointly build an international soft packaging centre reflects Amcor Group's firm confidence on the advantages of Jiangyin's port-vicinity industry and the special verve of catching the future markets, and will vigorously promote the transformation and upgrade of the port-vicinity industry and inject new vitality into the whole city’s sound and fast development of economy and society,” according to a statement released by the government of Wuxi.
