Mueller Industries signs jv deal with Bahrain firms

Mueller Industries, Inc has recently announced the signing of a joint venture (JV) agreement with Cayan Ventures (which has offices in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia) and Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company to build a copper tube plant in Bahrain. The business will operate and brand its products under the Mueller Industries family of brands. Under the agreement, Mueller Industries will invest approximately US $5.5 million of cash and will be the technical and marketing lead in return for 40% ownership of the JV.

Mueller Industries CEO Greg Christopher explained that the plant will produce copper tube for the air conditioning and refrigeration markets and will have the capacity to support the surrounding Middle East and North Africa region.

Memphis, Tennessee-headquartered Mueller Industries is an industrial manufacturer that specialises in copper and copper alloy manufacturing while also producing goods made from aluminium, steel, and plastics. Its products are distributed into sectors such as building construction, appliance, defence, energy, and automotive.
