Milacron to expand extrusion services with AES acquisition

US-based extrusion machinery supplier Milacron recently completed the acquisition of American Extrusion Services (AES), a company that services extrusion machines and offers extrusion parts repair. Based in Springboro, Ohio, AES has been in business for 25 years offering extrusion, gearbox, field service and repair. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

David Allison, President/Owner of AES, will serve as Director of Extrusion Services when he begins at Milacron. Allison brings several years of engineering and managerial experience with companies such as BF Goodrich, Newell-Rubbermaid and Honda.

“We are thrilled to welcome David and his team to Milacron,” Dean Roberts, President of Aftermarket at Milacron said. “David will be an asset here, helping to give Milacron a new offering for our customers – quick and effective extrusion machine and gearbox repair.”

According to Roberts, Allison will be responsible for unifying, standardising and growing the gearbox repair business across the different business units within the Aftermarket division of Milacron.

The Cincinnati-based Milacron group employs more than 4,000 staff worldwide. It operates five divisions including plastics processing equipment and expertise and industrial fluid technology as well as Milacron Plastics Machinery, Mold-Masters Hot Runner and Process Control Systems, DME Mold Technologies and Cimcool Fluid Technology.
