The Oman-based Muna Noor’s recently opened pipes plant in Sohar is utilising corrugators from Germany-based Unicor to cater to the growing plastic pipe market in the UAE.
The Unicor corrugators are used for the production of all pipe dimensions from technical pipes with a diameter of 3 mm up to sewage and drainage pipes with a diameter of up to 2400 mm.
The Omani pipes company, which processes more than 40,000 tonnes of HDPE and PVC plastics to produce smooth and corrugated pipes up to 1200mm diameter, is producing sewer pipes up to 1200mm diameter with the Unicor corrugator UC 1200.
Aoart from supplying the corrugators, Unicor was also involved in the planning of the new Sohar plant as well as its product design, which was overseen by Unicor’s development division.
