Krones opens new plant in India; strengthen market reach

German filling machinery maker Krones says thatwith the official opening of its new plant in Vemagal, near Bangalore, it is further expanding its presence in India. The new site enables the company to support customers even more closely and strengthen its position in one of the world's most important growth markets for the beverage, food and packaging industries, it added.

India is playing an increasingly important role for Krones and it is already represented in the country through several companies and centres of competence. With the new production facility, Krones says it is adding another important element to this network and making a targeted investment in the future of the Indian market.

With the opening of this facility, we are reaffirming Krones' long-term commitment to the country and creating a platform for future growth, innovation and value creation. We see India as a strategic market and an important part of Krones' global growth journey", says Ralf Goldbrunner, Member of the Executive Board of Krones AG.

Krones already operates several locations in India, including Krones India and Krones Digital Solutions India in Bangalore, Krones Processing India in Hyderabad and System Logistics India in Mumbai.

"The real significance of this facility lies not in its buildings, machinery or technology, but in the people, partnerships and shared commitment that made it possible. This achievement reflects the dedication of our teams and marks the beginning of the next chapter of the Krones story in India," says Thomas Wolter, Managing Director of Krones Machinery India.

Krones provides machines and complete lines for the areas of process, filling, and packaging technology. Additional products and services from Krones subsidiaries, such as solutions for digitalisation, intralogistics, as well as injection moulding and plastics recycling, complement the product portfolio.

It employs more than 21,000 people worldwide. Sales in 2025 amounted to EUR5.66 billion. In addition to the listed Krones AG, the Krones Group includes more than 100 subsidiaries and locations worldwide.
