Ceresana releases study on the European plastics market
Germany-headquartered market research firm Ceresana compiled everything you need to know about the European plastics market in a four-chapter report.
"In total, the European plastics market reached a volume of more than 53 million tonnes in 2014," says Oliver Kutsch, CEO of Ceresana. "Over the next eight years, we expect revenues to rise further at an average rate of 2.9% p.a. In 2022, they will amount to about €104 billion."
The report takes an economic approach on the billion-pound industry by focusing on the demand for plastic in the European region, such as, overview of how plastic is traded all over Europe: which types sell, how much money is made, and market predictions up to year 2022; the varied plastic applications in packaging and industries; as well as in-depth company profiles of 116 plastic producers in Europe, including BASF SE, Borealis AG, Bayer AG, Braskem SA, DuPont (EI) De Nemours, ExxonMobil Corp, LyondellBasell Industries, The Dow Chemical Company, Total SA, SABIC, and Ineos Group, to cite a few.
