Erema ups orders; Intarema boosts sales

Austrian recycling equipment supplier Erema Engineering says its order intake has increased by 30% over the last two quarters compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Plant sales alone in this period accounted for a turnover of EUR57 million. "This extremely positive result is largely due to the sensational initial sales figures of Intarema, the new generation of systems launched last year at the K2013 show," according to the company.

Meanwhile since the order books remain full for the coming months, expectations for the current quarter and thus the fiscal year as a whole are high, the company reports.

"The new Intarema system featuring innovative Counter Current technology has been exceptionally well received in the market. Based on the current order figures we expect a record turnover of around EUR28 million for the current, i.e. the first quarter of our 2014/15 fiscal year," said CEO Manfred Hackl.

Total sales for the 2014/15 fiscal year at the Ansfelden headquarters are expected to climb 10% to EUR110 million. Erema says that unlike other plant engineering companies, it achieves these results solely with the core business of developing and building plastic recycling systems.
