Europe's Association for Plastics and Rubber Machinery Manufacturers (EUROMAP) has set the course for the years 2013 to 2015 at the General Assembly held in Friedrichshafen last month October.
The newly-elected tandem of Luciano Anceschi (Shareholder and CEO of TRIA, Milano) as President; and Helmut Heinson (Managing Director Sales of Arburg, Lossburg) as Vice-President, have long been involved in key activities of EUROMAP.
Prior to his new post , Aneschi had served the association for 10 years as Vice-President; whilst Heinson had engaged in market data activities and exhibitions as representative of Arburg.
Elected as Secretary General is Thorsten K hmann, the Managing Director of the Plastics and Rubber Machinery Association within VDMA.
Meanwhile, former EUROMAP president Bernhard Merki has been regarded as the driving force behind involving EUROMAP in energy consumption standardisation. Due to his commitment to energy saving, EUROMAP analysed in detail the energy consumption of the plastics converting industry. In this context Merki actively involved himself in discussions at the political level with representatives of the EU Commission.
