Maag acquires centrifugal pellet dryer technology
Swiss auxiliary machinery firm Maag Group, a business unit of Pumps & Process Solutions, which is a segment of the Dover Corporation, has announced that it has acquired certain assets from Carter Day International, Inc.’s petrochemical division, which specialises in dewatering and drying equipment for the plastics industry. Terms were not disclosed.
The acquired drying technology will become part of Maag’s product portfolio, providing additional high-capacity solutions in Maag’s pelletising systems. This addition of highly engineered products and proprietary technologies will enable Maag to expand its market presence while providing efficient solutions to a wider range of customers’ needs, it says.
With production sites and service centres across Europe, the US and Asia, Maag adds that its global footprint will facilitate greater product availability and high-quality service for all customers worldwide.
This acquisition adds a highly-complementary high capacity dryer technology to our existing product portfolio, further establishing ourselves as the go-to provider for efficient and effective solutions to meet our customers' ever-growing needs.” said Ueli Thuerig, President of Maag Group.
