TaipeiPlas Summit this September, now open for registration

As an integral part of TaipeiPLAS 2024, the inaugural "Visionary and Sustainable Development Summit for the Plastic and Rubber Industry" will take center stage on September 25 at the Taipei International Plastics & Rubber Industry Show.

The summit will feature high-ranking industry officials who will share their perspectives on how digitalization and decarbonization can drive the industry towards a smarter, more efficient, and environmentally friendly future.

The morning session, titled "Digitalization and Sustainable Development of Plastics and Rubber Processing Equipment," will feature expert speakers including Carson Jui, Application Manager of Arburg Taiwan Branch; David Chen, General Manager of Wittmann Battenfeld (Taiwan); Catherine Huang, Chief Sustainability Officer of Victor Taichung; and Bush Hsieh, Plastics and Rubber Machinery Committee Chairman of the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry.

In the afternoon session, titled "High-Value Innovative Applications of Plastic and Composite Materials," the speakers will include Sand Dee Ng, Managing Director of BASF Taiwan; Jim Tai, General Manager of Remondis Taiwan; Stephen Liu, General Manager of Formosa Smart Energy; and Chuan-neng Lee, Head of the Unsaturated Polyester Resins Division at Eternal Materials. The session will conclude with a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Hsien-Tang Chiu, Executive Director of the Society of Plastics Engineers - Taiwan Section, offering further insights into the application of sustainable innovative materials.

This year’s TaipeiPLAS will be held from September 24 to 28 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1, in conjunction with ShoeTech Taipei. The event will highlight three themes: "Innovative Materials," "Advanced Manufacturing," and "Circular Economy," with up to 500 exhibitors across 1,800 booths.
