Chinaplas postponed to April 2023 in Shenzhen

China’s largest plastics show, Chinaplas, which was scheduled to be held in April this year in Shanghai, has been postponed in view of the latest Covid development and further tightening of pandemic control measures in Shanghai and other provinces of China.

After careful consideration and consultation, the 35th Chinaplas show originally scheduled from 25-28 April 2022 at National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai, will be postponed to 17-20 April 2023, and the show venue will be changed to Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shenzhen.

The show organiser Adsale Exhibition Services has, meanwhile, introduced an online platform known as Chinaplas Virtual Show 2022: Innovative Plastics & Rubber Technology Connects the World, to be held from 25 May-14 June 2022 to facilitate business exchanges and cooperation between suppliers and global buyers during the prime trade season in the second quarter of the year.

Ada Leung, General Manager of Adsale, added, “Despite the postponement of the exhibition, our passion to serve the global plastics and rubber industries remains unchanged. There are always more solutions than problems. We shall deliberately better utilise our advantageous resources, and actively explore more effective channels, not only for the physical exhibition in 2023, but also the Chinaplas Virtual Show 2022: Innovative Plastics & Rubber Technology Connects the World, to be presented soon, and CPS+ eMarketplace, converging plastics and rubber industries to provide continuous support to the quality development of the industry chain.”

Riding on the resources, a series of thematic and technical webinars, enhanced CPS+ eMarketplace services, will aim to present the latest market trends, technologies and market information for the industry. The topics of webinars cover automotive, packaging, electronic appliances, medical and healthcare, etc., focusing on hot topics and changes in market demand. The Virtual Show allows exhibitors and visitors to explore local and overseas resources without time and geographical limitations.

As for CPS+ eMarketplace, it is said to encompass a full spectrum of products from 4,000+ technology makers, allowing global buyers to engage with suppliers of plastic and rubber materials, machinery, semi-finished products and products from around the world.

Global buyers can make use of keywords search tool and different filters to look for interested products or suppliers. Buyers may make enquires with the targeted suppliers online. In case buyers have no idea on the selection of products, they may also submit sourcing request forms on the platform and the professional team will match the best-suited suppliers and products for them. Live chat function will also be activated during the Virtual Show period to further enhance the sourcing experience, facilitating the direct and effective communications between buyers and suppliers for business opportunities.
