Graham acquires American Kuhne
US-based Graham Group has acquired the controlling interest in American Kuhne, a manufacturer of extruders, screws, and integrated extrusion systems, from the Kuhne Group in Germany. The current management team of American Kuhne will retain a minority interest in the firm.
No German assets of the Kuhne Group were included in the transaction. Graham also owns blow moulding equipment maker Graham Engineering Corp. American Kuhne was founded in 1997 by several former employees of Davis-Standard.
Graham Engineering has focused on packaging and industrial customers and the addition of American Kuhne helps it diversify into the medical extruder market. (PRA)
