Arkema sells additives unit to PMC
AMERICAN plastics and speciality chemicals maker PMC Group has purchased a line of polymer stabilisers, catalysts and fine chemicals from French firm Arkema for an undisclosed price.
The deal includes organometallic materials based on organotin and organophosphine. Arkema says it will continue to toll-produce some of the products for PMC at a plant in the Netherlands. PMC also will buy a plant making those materials from Beijing in Arkema in the first half of 2013. Sales of the materials included in the deal totalled about US$250 million in 2011. (PRA)
