Colines installs first Allrollex cast film line in Vietnam

Colines installs first Allrollex

Southeast Asia’s Vietnam is gaining its prowess in the film processing market as one of the rising stars in the stretch film market worldwide, with a constant growth rate and optimistic forecasts for the upcoming years. Thus, it comes as no surprise that Italian extrusion machinery maker Colines has scored a deal with Ho Chi Minh-based processor Ky-Phat.

A few months ago the company started the brand new ALLrollex 1500 five-layer cast line for stretch film production made by Colines. Ky-Phat’s business is expected to benefit from this new line, it says, in terms of the capacity and quality standards. Colines also claims this is the first high performance cast line dedicated to stretch films installed in Vietnam.

The new line can produce hand, machine and jumbo reels and is specially dedicated to the production of cling film for food applications; with the formulations supplied by the Colines’s R&D department.

Ky-Phat is expected to widen its market base and export its PE cling film to the US.

Benefits of the ALLrollex cast lines include the reduction of energy consumption and kW/kg consumption ratio.

Set up in 2006, Ky-Phat specialises in producing all kinds of CPP membrane, five-layer MCPP, CPE, PE stretch film, PE cling film and high barrier film (EVOH, PA) for the printing industry. food, beverage, industrial, agricultural coating and medical sectors.

It also recently received certification for FDA compliance regarding food contact safety for its foodservice film, cling film and meat film.
