Indonesian show Indoplas postponed to June 2021
With the evolving situation arising from Covid-19 pandemic and tight travel restrictions, the Indonesian plastics exhibition, scheduled for September this year, has been postponed to 2-5 June 2021. The venue of the all-in-one exhibition, focusing technologies and solutions from the co-related plastics, packaging and printing sectors, remains unchanged at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Indonesia.
The organiser, Messe Düsseldorf Asia, said rescheduling the trade fair to 2021 was “deemed necessary in the continued fight against the pandemic and on the back of tighter social distancing measures, border control and travel restrictions in many countries”.
Gernot Ringling, Managing Director, Messe Düsseldorf Asia, said: “It was a difficult but necessary decision and after discussions with our Indonesian partners - Wakeni, we felt it was in the best interest of all participants involved to postpone Indoplas, Indopack and Indoprint to 2021. The health and safety of all stakeholders is our top priority. With the move to next year, we also believe this will place all participants in the co-related industries in a stronger position to carry over the successful status of the trade fair to 2021.”
“We are committed to meeting the expectations of our partners, local and international exhibitors and trade visitors, and look forward to further nurturing these trusted relationships as we work together towards the 2021 edition,” he added.
