Chinese oxo plant to use American process
U S-based Davy Process Technology, a Johnson Matthey company and a unit of Dow Chemical Oxygenated Solvents, will supply the LP Oxo Selector 10 technology to Wison Clean Energy's 125,000 tonnes/year oxo alcohols plant in Nanjing, China.
Wison Energy will produce 2-ethylhexanol and butanols. It currently operates a 600,000 tonnes/year carbon monoxide plant and supplies carbon monoxide, synthesis gas, hydrogen and methanol to other facilities located in the Nanjing Chemical Industry Park, where its facility is. This is the 15th LP Oxo license in China.
In addition to the above agreement, Dow and Wison Energy also signed a product purchase agreement whereby Dow will purchase a portion of the product over a certain period of time from Wison Energy's LP Oxo plant.
