Teknor puts all under one name
U
S-based Teknor Apex has changed the name of its Singapore-based compounding company to Teknor Apex Asia Pacific from Singapore Polymer Corporation (SPC).
SPC was acquired by Teknor Apex in 2001 and in 2004 it relocated its facility to a larger site with the capability of 50,000 tonnes/year. It set up another operation in Suzhou, China, in 2007, which produces vinyl compounds for the China market but is expected to go into TPEs.
The company says that by combining all of its operations under one brand represents the culmination of a decade-long process of integration that has resulted in the creation of a single company that will cater to the global market.
Teknor Apex Asia Pacific has sales offices in Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea and China, with plans to open additional sales offices in India, Japan and Taiwan.
