API walking tall with its latest TPE
I
talian TPE supplier API is walking tall with its latest product that is targeted at the production of clogs of the kind worn in hospitals by healthcare staff but can be used in all types of footwear.The new TPE is available in API's Megol family of SEBS-based compounds. API K is an antistatic material prevents the build-up of electrostatic charges that may interfere with sophisticated hospital equipment. It is completely washable and resistant to all commonly used cleaning and disinfectant products as well as being suitable for cleaning and sterilisation in an autoclave at 134°C.
The company says it also has excellent grip for clogs, which helps prevent accidents caused by slipping on floors covered in either water or detergent. The new material has been used in the Calzuro clogs, which were originally designed for use in hospital and healthcare facilities but have evolved over time and are now produced in a vast range of colours, shapes and designs.
