German buy-out of Malaysian auto parts supplier
M alaysian automotive parts producer, Sanichi Technology, which is listed on the ACE market, has signed an MOU with German firm Projektarbelt Technische Beratung Venretung International (Protec), that will take up shareholding in the company. But the percentage of equity to be held by Protev has not been finalised as due diligence is still ongoing.
Sanichi, recently, filed a debt restructuring notice with the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange.
Prior to the MOU, Protev had conducted feasibility studies with fabricators in China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore and decided on Sanichi since both had a long term working relationship.
With offices and facilities in Germany, Singapore and the US, Protev offers solutions for mould making for the automotive industry. Sanichi designs, fabricates and die casts parts for customers in China, Germany, France, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, Spain, Thailand and Vietnam.
