Chen Hsong to make large machines

ong Kong-based Chen Hsong Holdings will make large two-platen hydraulic injection moulding machines using technology it has licensed from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Plastic Technology of Japan. The company, which will make the machines at its facility in China, will sell them in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
The company said the deal will enhance its capability in R&D in the development of large-size two-platen type machines. The deal includes the exclusive rights for Chen Hsong to manufacture the large machines in the designated region.
Early this year, Mitsubishi said it would sell Austrian company Engel's medium-sized multi-component machines, Duo Combi, in Japan. Mitsubishi is handling sales, installation, service and spare parts for the machines that have a clamping force of less than 1,000 tonnes.
