Haitian hits new sales record
C
hina's largest injection moulding machine manufacturer Haitian sold 30,000 machines worldwide in 2010. Its turnover also increased by more than 80% to around US$1 billion, for the first time.The single largest driver of its sales turnover accounting for 70% of the machines sold (around 20,000) was its energy saving Mars series. Haitian says it has manufactured 35,000 Mars machines to date. Of the markets, the domestic market is Haitian's biggest but the company has also increased exports considerably. Exports doubled and reached 24% of total sales with growth in countries like Brazil and Turkey.
