Teijin enters South Korean market
Japanese firm Teijin DuPont Films, a joint venture between Teijin and E.I. du Pont de Nemours will establish a wholly owned subsidiary, Teijin DuPont Films Korea to market and sell polyester films in the South Korean market.
The new company, which will be based in Seoul, will further Teijin DuPont Films’ efforts to expand activities in the Korean market, and also enable the joint venture partnership to strengthen connections with Korean companies, world leaders in the electronics field.
The Teijin group, under a new medium- to long-term management plan announced in February, is expanding operations in emerging economies such as China, Brazil and India, as well as Korea, through strategic alliances with local partners and development of new applications. The group is targeting growth in the key fields of information and electronics, with a special focus on displays, touch screens and printable electronics.
