StackTeck adds Netstal machine and Piovan dryer at PET processing lab

Canadian injection moulding solutions provider StackTeck Systems Ltd says it has made a “significant” investment in its North American PET preform testing capabilities.

StackTeck recently installed a PET preform moulding machine, a Swiss Netstal PET-LINE 5000 system, integrated with a dryer from Italian auxiliary firm Piovan to complement the existing array of testing machines in the StackTeck TeckCenter.

Rick Unterlander, General Manager of PET at StackTeck, stated: “We are very excited to have this new equipment installed, and to provide our customers with extensive testing services for their PET preform moulds right here in North America.

Using the Netstal PET-LINE 5000, moulds up to 144 cavities can be tested and qualified, providing our customers with production ready systems. In addition, our new test lab will accelerate our PET preform mould R&D initiatives going forward, including our latest advancements in productivity, KoolTrack and PiCOOL post mould cooling.”

“For customers who would like to get a first-hand look at our technology in operation, our PET testing system has a demonstration preform mould with 96 cavities, fully integrated with StackTeck’s proprietary post mould cooling system, PiCOOL. Live demonstrations of the system can be arranged by request,” says Jordan Robertson, VP Business Development and Marketing.

“This investment shows our serious commitment to the PET preform marketplace, our customers, and to our continuous innovation in part quality and productivity,” says StackTeck President and CEO, Vince Travaglini. “While we have been working in this market for some time now, this initiative represents a significant step forward in addressing the needs of our customers.”
