KraussMaffei High Performance to become Netstal again

Faurecia to buy 60% of lighting firm Hella; deal worth EUR6.8 bn

In reversing its 2019 decision, machinery firm KraussMaffei Group will transfer all activities of the previous KraussMaffei High Performance AG into an independent unit with effect from 1 October to the Netstal brand. The new subgroup will look after the Switzerland-headquartered Netstal new machine and service business worldwide from its subsidiaries.

In 2019, it lumped all its business divisions and its previous brands of KraussMaffei Berstorff and Netstal under a single unified brand of KraussMaffei, with all subsidiaries and locations operating under the KraussMaffei name.

Thus, injection moulding machine maker Netstal has been known as KraussMaffei High Performance AG since 2019 though the Netstal name still appeared on its machines.

KraussMaffei CEO Dr. Michael Ruf said: “With this step we are taking into account the wishes of our customers and are reuniting the Netstal brand and the Netstal organisation under a common name. We are convinced that in the future Netstal will be even more focused than before on customers and their applications and offer them the added value that the Netstal brand has stood for many decades."

It adds that the markets covered by Netstal “have proven to be crisis-proof even during the pandemic”.

KraussMaffei therefore expects strong growth in these areas - especially in the Medical and PET segments. With the new PET-Line, Netstal offers a machine series that offers unique added value.

Renzo Davatz will head Netstal as CEO and in this role will report directly to Michael Ruf, CEO of the KraussMaffei Group.
